(There might be a lot of files in your iOS Heroes of Steel save and I don’t know if all are needed to be copied, but to be safe I copy them all). I put them into a temporary folder on my desktop. *You now want to highlight all the files and copy them. *Find your Heroes of Steel icon and click on it. *Scroll down, using the far right slider, to the bottom. *When your iPad shows up in iTunes click on it and select Apps. *Connect your iPad to the pc with the Apple USB/Lightning cord. I use iTunes for this but any iProgram that can access iOS’s Documents directory will do.įor this exercise I will be copying the save file from the iPad version over to the Steam version. It sounds a lot more complex than it actually is :

Thanks guys!įor those of you who have both the Steam version and the iPad version and are unaware of how the iOS File Sharing works I give you step by step instructions below. Well thankfully they looked into it and implemented it. My reason was that I was going to completely wipe my iPad Pro and I did not want to lose all my save files of Heroes of Steel. I initially contacted the Trese Brothers to see if they could put the iPad save files into the iOS Documents Folder and allow Apples File Sharing protocol to apply.

Now it is by no means all that user friendly to do but after a while it becomes easier. Well the last patch quietly introduced the ability to do so. In the past it was not possible to transfer your Steam save file of Heroes of Steel (or Templar Battleforce) to your iPad version and vice-versa.
